President's Message

Welcome to the website of Bronx Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.  We are a chapter of over 100 members who are committed to providing relevant and exemplary service to the Bronx community.  Chartered in 1968, by sixteen visionary women, who saw a need to bring Delta programs to the Bronx; we continue their legacy.

Over the past forty-two years, we have implemented programs that operate under our sorority’s Five-Point Programmatic Thrust: Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health and Political Awareness and Involvement.  We have partnered with several local businesses, political and church organizations to address social and international issues that affect the Bronx.

Each year the chapter awards scholarships and grants, participates in voter drives and health walks, conducts programs to assist in the positive growth of our youth like the Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy (for middle school girls), the Dr. Jeanne L. Noble Delta GEMS (for high school girls), School America (reading program), The SAT Academy (for high school girls and boys), and we host a Womens Celebration “Standing On Their Shoulders” Awards Breakfast, which celebrates the wisdom and community service of women from diverse walks of life.  We understand that it is essential that we ensure our programs and events meet the needs of the community.

Thank you for taking the time to view our site.  We look forward to your continued support as we Transform Lives and Impact Communities for positive change within the Bronx.

Sincerely,

Felita Y. Granby
